Day 1: Marrakech - Haut Atlas - Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate - Vallée du Draa – Zagora – Tamegroute – Erg Lihoudi
We pick you up at your hotel and begins the journey to the South. We will cross the High Atlas Mountains with the Tizi-N-Tichka pass at 2260 mts above sea level. We can see the impressive mountain scenery and many Berber villages.
We will arrive at Ait Ben Haddou, one of the best preserved Kasbah in Morocco, declared World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Many films were shot there, such as "Gladiator" and "Kingdom of Heaven"
We continue our journey through the Draa Valley, with 200 km of palm trees making this region one of the orchards of Morocco. We will continue along the Draa Valley to Tamegroute, with its Koranic library and pottery workshops characteristic of the region.
Arriving to Tagounite, before last town before the desert, where we will be welcomed with a tea as tradition want, then we will continue our trip to Erg Lihoudi or the Jews Dune, the first dunes of the Sahara.We spend the night in a nomad tent.
Day 2: Erg Lihoudi -Tagounite - Zagora - Draa Valley - Agdz - High Atlas - Marrakech.
In the morning, after attending the sunrise, and having breakfast in the dunes, we can take a ride on a camel, admiring the colors so varied. Then we return to Marrakech back through the Draa Valley and the High Atlas. Arrive about 18 p.m. in Marrakech.
